Design features

Compact structure: The front cover of the compressor is usually designed as a whole in a disc shape, with a concave rear surface forming the front wall of the compressor cavity. The middle of the front side has a forward protruding shaft installation cone, and a shaft installation chamber connected to the front wall of the compressor cavity is coaxially arranged inside the shaft installation cone. This design makes the front cover structure compact and easy to install and remove.
Function integration: One side of the front cover in the circumferential direction usually has a suction hole set perpendicular to the shaft installation chamber, which is connected between the outer surface of the front cover in the circumferential direction and the front wall of the compressor chamber. Part of the front cover design also integrates a check valve structure, which is used to control the unidirectional flow of airflow from outside to inside, reduce vehicle noise, and improve ride comfort.
Lightweight design: Some front cover designs adopt an alternating layout of ribs and grooves, which not only strengthens the structural strength of the pipe base, but also reduces material requirements and lowers the overall weight of the front cover. This design not only improves the energy efficiency of the compressor, but also reduces the possibility of shrinkage defects during the manufacturing process, improving product quality.

Material selection

The material selection of the compressor front cover usually considers its pressure resistance, thermal insulation, and corrosion resistance. Common materials include:

High strength metals, such as aluminum alloy, cast iron, etc., have good pressure resistance and mechanical strength, and can withstand the high pressure and high temperature generated during the operation of the compressor.
Corrosion resistant materials: In specific environments, such as humid or corrosive gas environments, the front cover may be made of corrosion-resistant materials to extend its service life.

Functional function

Protecting internal components: The front cover of the compressor serves as the outer shell of the compressor, which can protect internal components from external environmental damage such as dust, rain, etc.
Providing installation interfaces: The design of the shaft installation chamber and suction hole on the front cover provides installation interfaces for other components of the compressor, ensuring the overall structural stability of the compressor.
Optimizing airflow path: Some front cover designs have integrated check valves and other structures to optimize the airflow path, reduce airflow resistance, and improve the energy efficiency of the compressor.
